I can totally get how people get fat on cruises.
It's just too easy.. There is amazing food just a few paces away from you at all times. Each meal is accompanied by a whole separate table of various desserts. All you have to do between stops is sit in the sun, read, and listen to music. Quite the life. Except I did manage to get a burn on my chest. Not so good. Our room is little but comfortable. We where hardly in it at all anyway.
So first stop was the island of Mykonos. After our delayed departure from the port of Athens, piraus, our first stop on Mykonos was pushed back 2 hours to 8:30pm. Mykonos is an island in the Cycladic group, famous for it's traditional white buildings, white washed windmills, and nudist beaches. We chose not to check those out.
Instead we just walked through town, getting lost in the maze of white washed streets. All the houses are traditional white and blue, and the roads and alleys are narrow and cobblestoned. I could see how it could be stunning in full sunlight. Ive decided that Mykonos should be called island of cats. Every corner you turned there was a cat chilling. I wanted to take two of them home, they where the sweetest things. We checked out the traditional tacky tourist stores, then headed back to the ship because it's early wake up tomorrow, for our stop in kusadasi, turkey.
