Our next stop is Jeffery´s Bay, the surf capital of South Africa. So, obviously the first thing we did was a surf lesson. I have to admit I´m obviously not a natural surfer! But I had a great time, and I´d made definate progress by the end -with high hopes for actually standing up next time! In the afternoon we went on a horse ride. We started off trotting through fields and woodland, then came up over some sand dunes, and back along the beach. Wandering along the sand dunes in a line of horses was an amazing experience- although it felt like we should have been on camels instead. Despite having the most stubborn and slow horse in the world I was pretty achy by the end of it, and between that the surfing we were aching in just about every muscle the following morning! Our next stop after Jeffery´s Bay is Port Elizabeth, for one night, before heading onto the Wild Coast (between PE and Durban)
