For my last day in Bangkok I left the others who went to check out the snake park and I visited the Grand Palace which is probably bangkok's most famous landmark. Surrounding the palace are loads of temples and statues, all covered in Gold and really ornate. I wanted a bit of culture but didn't really know what to expect so I was very pleasantly suprised.
Unfortunately I knew I had to be covered up and wore my only long sleeved top, a zip up jumper which I roasted in, but still spent a good few hours looking around at all the museums etc.
Afterwards I went back to MBK, the big shopping mall and got completely sucked in, buying some souvenirs, but have become an expert at batering so harly spent any money at all.
When the others got back from seeing snakes we went out for drinks and got in an argument with the bar tender who tried to rip us off.
Tommorrow I head for Chiang Mai and really looking forward to it, although I don't have as much time as I'd like.
