Alice's Travels
I've been home a few days now and its been incredibly hectic with so much to catch up with-mainly Big Brother but I think I'm going to have to give up trying with that one, I'm lost!
Getting home was a bit of a drama as I managed to get ill on my very last day in Thailand so spent the whole of wednesday in my hotel room being very sick and wishing I was back. Thursday morning I was up at 4 feeling like death as I passed out having a shower. Made it to the airport in a blur but then fainted again at the passport control desk and came round being fanned by lots of asian people-I had no idea what was going on. Was so weak I got escorted around the airport by wheelchair and treated like royalty on the plane.
Had a 2 hour flight to Singapore then was met by another wheelchair to take me to the next plane and a final 13 hour flight home.
I was met at arrivals by mum, dad, jack and sarah which was lovely and there were lots of hugs and some tears.
It took me a long time to adjust back to home life and it still feels quite foreign. Its strange not moving around anymore and having nothing on the agenda for the day.
Havn't spoken to everyone yet, but have been boring my family with endless photos and dvd's of my trip.
The next step- get a job. Not that bothered what I do for now because the plan is to save save save for, yep you guessed it..more travelling in 2007. The plans are already in the pipeline so hopefully this site will stay up and running.
Had an amazing time but very much enjoying being at home!!
