Another travel day today. Bus back to Supetar, then ferry back to Split (pictured). Hung around in a café in Split until our train. Not great service as we ordered a second round of drinks, which we never got and didn't pay for.
Train to small village of Perković, where we changed for Šibenik. Got into Šibenik around 5 and had a major faff trying to find the hostel. The directions we were given were hopeless as there are very few street signs. When we asked for directions, no-one seemed to know any street names, as if they don't use them. We got totally lost, so returned to the train station where there was a big map of the town.
Eventually found the place, with the help of a tourist office. It is a tall, thin building at the end of a terrace that covers 5 or 6 floors and has very tall and steep staircases. We are on the 2nd floor and the shower is on the top floor. There is a balcony at the top where we can hang washing and get great views of the lagoon.
The hostel is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. It appears to be run by a family, who also own a local restaurant (which they recommended) that we ate at. We paid half the price of a typical meal in England for possibly the best food we've had so far. Anna had a coconut milkshake, which she got very excited about.
Tomorrow we are going to Krka National Park, a local beauty spot with waterfalls and lakes you can swim in, so we're taking the snorkels.
