Aim's in Africa
"PUT YOUR RIGHT ARM IN"
I will apologise for my lack of enteries - i tryed on friday but it just wouldn't let me!
So this week we are starting to paint a garage at on of the creche's to be used as a classroom for the older kids, preparing them for school! We plan to paint it all white then have a muriel on one wall, of a farm yard maybe, so i will be leaving my artist mark here in africa!
Last week was a good one at creche! On friday we had a party as it was one of the little girls birthdays, so just like in england there were crisps and sweets and lollies that turn you tongue green and most impotantly a cake!! It did put them all on a sugar high though so there was even more climbing me. They love playing with my hair, I was told that they think i'm a doll! Taught them more body stuff, about fingers and touch this week so got them all to draw round their hands - one of them did it perfectly all by herself! Have now been peed on after near misses, but it seems to be more common at the other creche's so i think i'm lucky!
So had an amazing weekend, well Saturday nite anyway! We have all made friends with a local policemans family, they seem to have adopted us, they took us to a party at a ranch that a friend of theirs had just brought, and doesn't know what to do with! It was a great nite with lots of african style dancing - that i really can't do! The ranch was amazing with its own security guards, the building was kinda like a big hut with straw roves and a swimming pool with a little waterfall!
Saturday day me, Nicola and Charlotte did the museum which was pretty good and Belhaven House which is a british victorian house imported from britain, it was just like something you'd see in england.
Have found a place with the most amazing carrot cake!!
