Summer Season 2012 - Done.

Last day in town today .

We had the patrol party last night which was $40 for endless drinks, band, food and transport. It was suuuch blast - great way to end my season :D Also good to say bu bi to everyone etc (:

Today we have done - nothing. weather isnt great and all the charilfits up the hill are on hold - sooo most people are down so i have friends for the day which is cool. Were having a wee send off dinner tonight and then a party after too, which will be fun!

Start my expidition at 10am tomorrow morning - Going to be at the airport supper early but thats okay just because im on crutches.

Newzealand has done me well though, Really like it out here and will definately return - maybe a season in Wanaka .. ? Favouirte phrase, Chur ... Favourite mountain Mt Olympus and fave place - Ohau. Met loads of friends that i will be seeing no doubt in the skiing industry again at some point. Infact two of the guys i am working with at the moment are going to be Liftys in Chamonix. Kinda cool how you just come across peeople in all corners of the world. Definately learnt that NZ skiing is different to europeain skiing ... totaly different atmosphere not worse or better just werid. Methven is a wee pocket of sunshine in earthequake zone that has been a cool place to stay for the season ... its like living in a cudysack, with heaps of students, everyone "goes in" for one another to avoid texting and rides skateboards,bikes or scooters. One supermarket where we always bump into one another and a milkshake stand you ALWAYS get busted checking out .. I will miss it.

I wont miss however hte 1hr drive up the mountain every morning at 7.20 am. The lack of places to wander around, window shop and socialise. Atleast its heeps of mountain people though so we all like the same things!!!

Favourite times have definately been touring some of the smaller ski feilds around the south island on my days off, getting to know some pirrty cool people and new experiences ; the nut cracker ... kewidrivers... steak and mince pies ... lack of health and saftey ... the acsent.
