so we left La at around 1.40pm and arrived into Santa Barbara at 3.40pm the place itself seemed loads different to LA as the buildings were smaller and it was very clean. We gave Alana's mum a quick call to see if she minded picking us up. We had no idea what her mum looked like so every car that went past we wondered if it was her. A Jeep Cheverlot arrived and out popped Cecelia. We put our bags in the car and off we went, Alana's dad John was there too. They took us to a mexican restaurant for a snack and to try some margarita's - they told us how much they like tequilla and margaritas were lovely ( no hangover in the morning or something) its true though Margaritas were great. After here we got taken to their house in Goleta. Just across the road from a beach up in the hills, it was beautiful even in the dark. Alana got back around 8pm so we had a good old catch up before getting to bed. The bed we had was a recliner kind and Adam soon found alot of fun from it. just a big kid!!
The next day we wont around 10.30am, Alana had left for college so we hung around the house. Cecelia made us eggs with toast and then after they took us to the beach. Both of them are extrememly lovely people they were very kind to us during our stay with them.
The beach was beautiful and if you lived in Santa Barbara you'd appreciate the atmosphere around you, walking down the beach was just amazing - kinda unreal that there was a beach literally on your doorstep. After here they took us out to a town about an hr away - this place seemed like the houses should be made out of gingerbread and that snow should be around. it resembled a child like story. we had some strawberries with choc that were lush, yet sickly. John went overboard and bought several other kinds of chocs. After here we went for dinner, a little pricy but lovely and once finished we met Alana back at the house. She took us out for a few drinks and some line dancing. this was highly amusing even adam got in on the action:)
Our final day in Santa Barbara (should have stayed longer) we went into downtown for a look around - oh i forgot however in the morning Alana took me to a modern dance class...we were knackered after. Santa Barbara is very expensive bought beautiful in appearance. Once we got back Adam and I watched BIG whilst alana had rehearsal.
At around 7.30pm we had dinner, cecelia had gone a little mad shopping and got us a feast hehe. We stayed up late chatting - pretty much what we did every night.
The day of leaving we tried breakfast burritos...yummy, a little odd for breakfast but nice. easy to make too. If you fancy one let me know and ill fill you in on how to make them:)
We said our goodbyes, leaving cecelia and John a little thank you note for their hospitality and just getting to know them. Its been great. we now go to San Fransisco.
