Adam and Charlotte's Great Escape.
We it's our last day in New Zealand and here we are catching up on our postcard writing.
Well we left Nelson last Sunday but decided to go and visit the World of Wearable Art Musuem before we left. It was realitively small but that was a good think, in one half of the building there were plastic models wearing previous years entries into the Wearable art competition and the other half was classic cars. You entered the Museum into a room wear plastic people showed off their costumes on a revolving platform it was all very spooky. Then after this the second room was in darkness as the theme of the costumes was illumination so even spookier they glowed in the dark. We then quickly dashed round the car section and went on our way to Kaikoura.
In Kaikoura we had already decided that we would like to go Whale watching which this place is famous for. After deciding that we would like to go by boat rather than aeroplane to track them the only time we could go was on the 7.15am boat. It was a bit of a stuggle to get up and I tell you it was good job we didn't have a fry-up beforehand because the boat was extremely rocky. We weren't dissappointed we saw 3 sperm whales which are the 4th largest whale and also a pod of about 80 dolphins. The dolphins are exactly like you would imagine they are real intertainers they were all round the boat and jumping out of the water; and for those of you who have been the the Dolphin Aquarium you will know what we are talking about. The boat got closer than we thought to the whales and it is hard to believe how big they are; we onlt saw 10% of there body though; we are now eager to go hunt for the big blue!!
This just about finishes this postcard.
But the fun does't end here the next one is on its way.
Love Adam and Charlotte xx
