Hope you are all having a great time in Balikpapn and the journey on the boat is proving to be fun.
We have very much enjoyed looking at the photos and postcards. You really seem to have got to some nice places.
I have been sailing on a yacht today in the solent through all the boats racing in Cowes week. We sailed very close to the Abm Ambro boat that recently won the round world yacht race. It was very impressive.
Hope to see you all when you get bask.

Hi Charl & Adam,
Hope you use your remaining days to the max; I expect to see you arriving home penniless!
Just been catching up on your postcards - how sharp are your elbows now?!
I felt you were a bit harsh about the cockroaches in your Superior Room at the Meldrum Hotel, do you expect them to be slumming it in the dirty rooms?!
That probably gave you a taste of what Em has in store for you when you get back to the comfort of your bedroom; I think she may have even named one after you!
Have a great week or so and see you in sunny Crawley!
Love,
Lee and Chrissy

Great to hear & see that you still have the energy to travel. We only reached Mersing - on East coast of malaysia. We had intended to travel further from Singapore but the bus ride was rather a trial to both Daniel and I (Linda) as we are not great travellers! Mercifully Mersing was great and Pulau Rawa was rather like paradise so we did really well! We had a go at doing a short trek into jungle - nothing like your expedition! - had a day doing Batik - fantastic - and visited rubber plantation and saw banana, chilli, orchid etc being grown. Wonderful memories!
Enjoy your Indonesian trip!
Love Linda & Robert x

Marie does not like any bridge where you can see the ground, so she could not, under any circumstnces, even look at yhe canopy walk. You see to move on to fantastic places and views all the time. Your memories will always be with you and your huge number of photos will enable you to keep them in their proper locations. We just do not know how you will be able to settle down when you have stopped this 'Off Exploring' session.
We always look forward to your next postcard, which we find so interesting and detailed.
We are at the moment in France at Marie's daughter's house. It is right out in the country and as it is very hot we are just relaxing and trying to keep cool. The TV tells us that it is just as hot back home, on the weather forecast it says that South East of England will be 35 C tomorrow - really hot!
Looking forward to seeing you both when you return home in August.
Love to you both

Hello darlings? How is Malaysia? I would really really love to visit Kuala Lumpur; it looks like a fantastic city. I had rather an internationally themed weekend last week- I went to an Australian football match and then a Canadian Party in Convent Garden. Does that count as 'virtual travelling?' I guess not... Well, I have two weeks left at school now before the holidays, which, I must say will be most welcome. Myself and the Long Toed one are going on holiday 3 weeks on Saturday. Looking forward to it now. I was at Envy (Aka Diva) on Saturday and did some dancing-to-cheesy-90's-music on your behalf. You would have been proud. It's my mum's 50th birthday party on Saturday and it'll be a bit weird with everyone there except you Charl! Jo'll have to get out the manequin again. Take care lovelies and see you soon- not long now xx Nikki
Ghetto Acorn
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Hello there travellers- only a month to go before you re-join the ghetto life-style! You had better make some preparations soon, like having chops and ready-cooked chicken for dinner every night, or you'll be in for a shock! I have escaped the ghetto for now and am currently at work- which reminds me- one of my class put up their hand the other day and said- 'what is a lamb chop?' I was quite taken back and answered with ' a lamb chop is meat with a bone and fat that we enjoy regularly at my house!' I felt like a real fountain of knowledge, having had experience of 1980s food! Only 1 day to go until Acorn 2 jets off, never to be seen again- yippeee!! Hope you are still having fun. E-mail soon and see you in a month! x
