Arrived in La Paz had a quiet night in our nice hotel probably our last really nice hotel of the trip. We checked out into a much cheaper colder hotel in the morning then I went and booked death road with Becky and Sarah. Spent the rest of the day wandering the town Keeley bought a silver ring and chain. That night we went to a bar where we had a voucher for a free drink. We decided to get food there, it took an hour and a half and I very nearly walked out fortunatly the food was good. Sarah and Becky had met a guy in a crockery shop and told him there room number and provided him with a map!
Next morning on the way to the start of death road I discovered the guy from the crockery shop had paid a visit. Becky and Sarah had turned the lights off and Kept quiet but the guy stayed for ten minutes think he really wanted to see them. The start of death road was not promising in was snowing I had to keep one closed to see at all. After five minutes it did clear but still freezing could not feel my hands. Half an hour later dropped down quite a bit and warmed now time for a bit of uphill which was knackering as at altitude. After that we got off the tarmac and on to the gravel the real death road. This afforded spectacular views when the mist cleared which it did a couple of times. The road cut through amazing jungle a fantastic ride. We did stop every so often to see where people had died a bit Macarbe but then we were on death road. That night said farewell to Sarah and Becky and Keeley me back on our own again and heading back to lake Titicaca and Copacabana.
