Right well thought another update was due, what has one done. Well have hiked more, admired the scenery. Can't really get out of hiking considering am surrounded by hills hills and more hills, I think I should class them as mountains as they are huge! Have been on a mini excursion to Christchurch and discovered an odd looking chicken puppet that made me cry with laughter within the shop. Funny times. It appeared to have trouble laying an egg.
Am currently in preparation to become a Camp crusader, actually going on a camping trip with the school to a little place called Wainui, should be fun. Epic scenery I've been told. Am in co-charge of cuisine, should prove interesting. Might just obtain treats form the kids so as to survive! All i know is that there is archery, coasteering, and not to mention some delightful abseiling. I've got my safety gear all prepared. No doubt I will try something!
Weather has been steadily nice, today has been a cloudy day but dry, perfect for wondering around in and not getting too hot.
Am a regular host to a few lovely cats, one in particular has taken a keen liking to sleeping upon my bed. (Lizzee) The princess is now how she is known.
Have experienced a local drama place - The Loons, I attended an after school club where the kids learn drama and circus basics. I think the guy was having a bad day when I went didn't seem too joyous, he was wearing a very un-child friendly pair of cut off shorts too. I'll leave you with that mental picture.
Oh the chips here taste different, can't work out what it is but there is a definite difference, and I have to say i prefer Welsh ones. Baking is beginning this week, baking cakes for school fair. Thought chocolate was a good choice, sure they wil be a hit with the kids! Plenty of sprinkles too.
Am employing my ushering skills on Friday, helping out on a play, front of house style, Angels in America is the name of the play, has had good reviews so far, will update on that one.
Have seen some major earthquake damage on trips about. Many buildings are in the process of being demolished or have gone already. Some are just held together by steel posts. There is alot of rebuilding to be done, things will take time, but people are still up beat and declare no worries on a regular basis. Was shocked by a bridge which was passed, it had basically buckled itself and had formed a triangle in the middle of the walkway. Cracks are around and well I think the earthquakes are going to continue for a little while longer, things are stil not settled on the ground front. Oh well, keep smiling a!
On a much brighter note, had the biggest ice cream that I have ever laid eyes upon, it was easily the size of my head, was fresh fruit which is then blended with vanilla ice cream. I had boysenberry flavour, which apparently is a cross between a raspberry and blackberry. Was darn tasty though so I wasn't going to complain. It looks like a Mr Whippy but tastes much better. You will all be glad to hear that I managed to eat the beast (photos to follow) without dropping a drop upon myself. Result!
