Hi All
I am sorry that I did not update this earlier but I have been very busy and when I have not been at the olympic park I have been finding food or sleeping! As it is rather demanding on my body just trying to get myself about. I spent a lot of yesterday in a self propel wheelchair as that was going to be the quickest and easiest and none painful way of getting about the olympic green between the swimming sessions. I am still having a lot of fun but wishing my back did not hurt as I think I have bruised it quite badly. As you will see from my new set of photos I have had my photo taken with the Paralympic Mascot and holding the Paralympic Torch!!
Today I watching more swimming this afternoon, which was great! It was difficult to get out of the 'water cube' at the end as it was packed, as it has been every day! I am doing my best not to get pushed over although that is proving difficult as there are lots of people where ever you go and they seem to like to rush about and seem in a bit of a panic. As for example today I was first in the queue for the water cube, because although I have tickets for the swimming sessions it is a first come, first serve basis there are no seat allocations and if you are not there really early like 3 hours ahead of it starting it is likely that you can not get in (there are 17,000 seats and it has been full every session that I have been to! (It may look as though it is not full on the T.V but spectators are only allowed on the gallery closest to lane 9, other side is reserve for media and press and the athletes however, there are not as many press here as there were for the olympics). Although it was good to be at the front of the queue people still pushed me out of the way and were running into the water cube to get the seats. It is a bit of a rugby scum to say the least! ( I have to say that it is mainly the Chinese who are the worst for the pushing.)
Tomorrow I plan to go sight seeing as I do not have tickets for any events, not sure exactly what I will get up to yet, I think I will decide that based on the weather and how I am feeling! I will add the photos and other video's tomorrow as I am tired and I should have more time tomorrow as I am not going to the olympic park. I think it is time to go to bed!
Regards
Zoe
