We've just spent a very touristy week-end in Cap Skirring, it's really like a little world of it's own. We stayed in a hostel and just had to walk down some (very steep!) stairs to get to the lovely long sandy beach. We spent most of our time lying on the beach or swimming in the sea. The sea was so warm but very strong, luckily we only got drifted sideways or back to shore. Despite putting on factor 50 three times in the afternoon, Lena and I managed to get burn...

After a 16hour boat ride, Lena and I finally arrived in Ziguinchor last Saturday. We were met by our host, Bass who is lovely and always ready to help us in any way. Ziguinchor is very different from Dakar, very green, less hectic and less touristy! The roads are very polluted, I haven't seen any bins or binmen, people just seem to throw their rubbish on the ground... The kids all shout "Toubab" and wave at us, some even come up to shake our hand. Some older ones...

After saying good bye to Mum and Dad at Paris airport, I met up with fellow senegals plus Ben and Tom who refuse to be seneguys! We soon found out that our plane was an hour late, obviously it's going to Senegal. We travelled in style, drinking (free!) champagne, watching loads of tv and looking out the back ...
