My first French Restaurant Experience on French soil
So it comes up to visit this recommended country side Restaurant with apparently good duck Foie GRAS
And we strolled carefully into and very conscious about food prices -- if we even got a whiff of rip off or high prizes we are out like a dog who stole some fat off the table
The French as the rest of the Mediterranean offers a 3 course meal at reasonable prices apart from the individual listed menu items
Polly loves duck but she fears the presentation and feeling a little off she passes while old Steak lover goes for the Carne with chips
Ag man! The bleary steak is paper thin but big in area size
Luckily not a cut from the front of the unlucky beast, but presented so raw I could not eat it
You know Frenchmen and their little manners and upset signs when confronted with their food making capabilities
Nou ja he was very calm and immediately grilled the steak better to be enjoyed. Salt is not the chefs problem it is privilege of customer
Only other point worth pointing out is the little staff restaurants employs against us in SA
It is really more enjoyable to communicate directly with restaurant chefs/staff
And I am amazed every time how one woman can serve all customers plus clean up
Oki doki
