You wouldn't think it would be so hard to fly from one side of Canada to another but we have struggled big style!! There is a 3 hour time difference between Vancouver and Toronto and we have felt it, we have suffered awful jetlag the whole time we have been here! This would probably have been okay but we then got put in a room with a guy who made loads of noise every night and stopped us sleeping!
All that aside, we did manage to do a few things while we were here and Toronto is a really nice city. We went to the Hockey Hall of Fame which was brilliant. They have loads of memorabilia from ice hockey over the years, they even mention the English teams which is good. We both had a go at shooting the puck and Phil tried out his hand at netminding which was funny. We also went up the CN Tower, the views across the city are great and it was a really clear day so we could see for miles.
We took a day trip to Niagara Falls which was good. The trip itself wasn't so good, a bit boring and we didn't really like the guide but the waterfalls were very impressive. We went on the Maid of the Mist tour which is a boat that goes right next to the Canadian waterfall, you have to wear this plastic bag type thing to keep dry! It was so cool being so close to the falls, the force is just immense and the amount of spray that comes off is crazy, it feels like its pouring down with rain!
Other than that we just wondered around the different parts of the city and enjoyed the sunshine. We are both really excited to get to New York now, can't believe we are on our way to our last destination, its all a bit surreal really.
NYC here we come!...
