Phil + Ems Bogus Adventure
New York, our final destination! We really didn't believe that this time would come but now it's bitten us on the bums and we are at the end of our trip. New York was the perfect place to end and to be honest continues to be my favourite city in the world. It was really good because Gav and Rachael came out to meet us so we had a few fun days with them. Not only did they manage to get us tickets for the US Open but also got us a free hotel room for 3 nights which, was just pure luxury for us two with staying in hostels for so long. Thanks guys! And Gav, you made it onto the website!! As trips to New York usually are, it was jam-packed and hectic and we were shattered at the end of our 5 days! We actually did a few things this time that we haven't done in New York before which was nice. We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, which gives nice views back to New York, which was good. Also, instead of going up the Empire State Building, we went up the Rockefeller Centre, which gives amazing views of the city. The views are better from here because you can actually see the Empire State Building instead of being on it! The views were so good during the day that we went back one night to see it in the dark, which was equally as amazing, highly recommended to anyone going to New York. We also went to the US Open, which was a definite highlight. Flushing Meadows was amazing, it was huge and there was a great atmosphere. We got to watch Roger Federer and Feliciano Lopez play in the Arthur Ashe Stadium, which was brilliant we really enjoyed it.On our last night we decided to celebrate a bit so we had a really nice Italian meal in Times Square, we've never seen so much food, typical American portions! Then we went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway, which was just fantastic. We actually only had cheap seats but ended up with our own little private box, we thought we were great! It was a great way to end the most amazing trip and the best thing we have ever done.

Mary I can totally reatle. I've been interning in NYC for the summer and the experience has made me appreciate and love Boston even more. Boston fits my personality, we mesh. However, the PR industry is stationed in NYC all the opportunities are here, so it's something I have to unfortunately get over. I have to suck it up. But from what I've observed, many people use NYC as a stepping stone and eventually move out. To live here forever is not for the faint-hearted.
