Well, since leaving the armpit that was Uyuni town, we are now in La Paz.
La Paz itself is a much welcome break from typical Bolivian cities. We´ve taken root here but plan to leave here tomorrow (otherwise we may never leave!).
Yesterday we had the most fun ever, throwing ourselves attached to mountain bikes from 4800m down a dirt track at high speed, down the worlds most dangerous road! It took us under 4 hours to cover 64km, and descending 3000m.
It was brilliant fun, a little scary in places when you see how close you are when you hurtle round a tight corner at speed.
We were taken down by a guide, thankfully there was only the 2 of us to in the group so no annoying over-competitive Austrailians! But we do think the guide was more used to this clientle as he kept wanting us to ´whoop´and high five!!....can you imagine us high fiving.....we had to humour the man!
Today we are a bit achy, so are just hanging about, but tomorrow we head to Copacobana on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
We plan to be on the Peruvian side of the lake mid next week.
Hope you like our new photo´s!!!
