Days 24 and 25 - Call that a knife... THIS is a knife!

Day 24 begins with another unwelcome early wake up call from housekeeping!! They really don't take into account that just about everyone in this hostel is going to be hanging out of their arses! I wasn't, because yet again as you've probably read I was on the goon the night before and I woke up drunk again!! Tom, Carla, Dickie and Roel are up and they fancy heading down to the lagoon (outdoor public swimming pool in cairns) for a bit of a sunbathe and a swim! I'm not too keen to get up so early but I follow them down there about half an hour later! I get there intent on having a maccy d's which is something I've completely resisted in the three and a half weeks I've been away! Lets be honest this is a miracle!! But again my appetite is again non existent... So i don't get one!! I just sit with the guys and sunbathe with a few dips in the pool! We get a bit sunburnt and we head back to gilligans to get back on the beers! We have a small lunch (just a small thing of noodles for me)! Whilst we were at the lagoon we all decide to have a BBQ in the evening! Roel and I decide to go and get the stuff for it but the others are out sorting the rest of their trip out at the travel agents so we cook all the BBQ stuff in the kitchen and get back on the goon! (Another 8 litres of wine tanked in a night)
We stay in the room for a while playing drinking games (again) with a couple of Dutch girls who Roel is friends with and head downstairs to watch the 'jelly wrestling' that is the event for the night! After a bit I get chatting to a couple of other lads from reading and wales ('the valleys')! I invite them to our big goon party tomorrow! This is going to be a big one as Ellie is back from her trip so we're on for a really heavy night!! After a lot of boogieing to a lot of epic tunes we all head to bed! Dickie and I end up chatting to Kara who's one of the Essex lasses who was in the room before! I don't get into bed until gone 5...
Starting to need a bit more sleep...

Day 25

Day 25 begins with a bit more of a lie in, but still not really enough! We all head out to indie travel next door to gilligans to book some trips and busses! Tom, Carla, Dickie and I have decided to do the east coast together so we booked all our trips and busses! As we're all a bit tired, our patience with doing this booking stuff is wearing thin!! So we give up for the day and head back to gilligans for a beer! My appetite is worse than ever, all day I only manage about 5 Doritos and about a quarter of the free evening meal! After the meal we have a few beers downstairs before having another goon party in our room, we are joined tonight by a returning Ellie who's back from her trip, two Canadian girls who the guys met at the airport and three British lads who've moved in, ones from Cumbria!! He's delighted to meet me as I'm the first person to have heard of where he's from since he's been away!! We get a few drinking games going and then head downstairs to do a bit of dancing, we have a slightly earlier night as its all starting to take its toll!! Don't worry, days 26 and 27 will be more exciting because we're actually doing other things other than getting drunk!
