Where's Suzie?
I know I'm doing this all out of sync but trying to remember what I've been up to for the last week as it's all been a bit non stop so this postcard is a little taste of Rio life.
Nearly all of the wedding party have left Rio now so I'm one of the only one's left. Spent the morning on the beach watching the world go by. Brazilians are obsessed with looks. You'll find old and young joggin up and down the beach all day long in all weather. Bikinis are v.small and there are alot of old american guys with their token brazilian girlie.
They live for the beach over here and it's filled with surfers, old guys playing volleyball, young guys playing footie and people selling everything from football shirts to sea food. The sea looks really inviting but I've not risked it yet as it's quite rough and apparently the currants are really strong here.
Everyone I've met so far has been ultra friendly and up for partying....a 2.30am finish is early in Rio terms. I've had a few caiprinhas but they're really strong here and are only palatable in small shots (something we had lots of fun with on Friday night).
Most every day things are really cheap including food and they love their meat here so it's definately not a place for veggies. Other than that they're really quite healthy eaters with lots of fresh friuit for sale on the beaches - coconut juice being the most popular.
In summary this place is hot, alive, risky and cheap.
That's it for now...I'll update on the previous week tomorrow as it's getting a bit warm in here now.
Byeeee yáll
