What a day!! It started not too early with a visit to the King Tutunkhamen exhibition which was filled with artifacts from a few of the tombs from the Valleys of the Kings (and also filled with plenty of school students!). It was amazing to see things that have survived over 3000 years, with the paint still all in tact! A bit disappointed that neither the mummy (which is still in it's tomb in Egypt) or any of the sarcophagus were part of the exhibition but still ...

Another early morning as we were off to the Statue of Liberty! We got the subway down to Battery Park and wandered over to Clinton Castle to pick up our tickets as we had got tickets to climb to the crown of the statue (only 240 people each day are allowed to climb to the crown). I don't think I have ever been so cold as it was about 0C but blowing a gale and coming off the water, it was soooo cold! And I wasn't looking forward to the boat ride to Liberty Island....

Emma and I went to visit family in New Hampshire for the day yesterday. It was great to catch up with them, returning a lot sooner than we thought from last time!! Brianna did some shopping and visited the aquarium (and by all accounts, had a great day!).
