Arrived in whales vagina today. We didn't get back to the hsotel in Vegas until 4 am and had to get to the Greyhound station at 7am. We went to a the vampire show I mentioned in Vegas, pretty crap but laughably bad in parts. No story whatsoever but who needs a story when you have topless girls who can put their legs behind their heads. Lost $40 within 5 minutes at a poker table but won $10 lqater at roulette and another 15 at blackjack Lost a bit on the slot machines but roughly broke even in the end and won all together on tables.
When we got to the Greyhound they said they had my name on the computers when they swiped my card but no confirmation of my booking. Asked if I had my print out with a reference number, we have never needed it before and I hadn't printed it out. We had to leg it to an internet point with our rucksacks on our backs to print out or order form. We sprinted back with minutes to spare and a bunch of people at a bus stop we passed started clapping and cheering. When I handed the confirmation to the women she said "Oh. here your booking is". I was quite rude. "Really, what I surprise, I thought it had vanished" I said. She then had the cheek to ask if we had just ran to book it knowing she had made a mistake. I swore but Eddie's cool head prevailed and he calemd me down. They f***ed up big time and we only just made our Greyhound but that doesn't give me cause to act out of character and be rude, not my sytle. I apologised as we got our tickets. We didn't get an apology for the f*** up mind you.
Our transfer was two hours late so we arrived in San Diego at 6pm until of 4. The Greyhounds were really good at ifrst but seem to have got worse and worse the further west we have got. Nonetheless glad to be in California. Brilliant that we have made it from one coast to the other. The hostel in San Diego is nice and we checked out soem bars tonight. Really lively here considering it is a tuesday. Might check out the world famous zoo tomorrow and make a proper night of it. Have really been looking forward to Cali, should be great heading down the coast. Massively looking forward to San Francisco, Yosemite, and the Redwoods national park. Will be in LA in a few days.
Hope all is well at home. Please drop me a message so I know Mum or Dad. When is Dads birthday? Awful that I don't know, seem to remember it being in october or was it august? What is Nans address, plan to sent her a postcard.
Craig - Tell your fellow Oscar Wilde types not to sit behind me on Greyhounds, espiecally the fat camp ones who ask me to move my seat forward, play crap pop music, and say things like "My god girl, you've got to phone that b****"
Ran into a whole load of new crazies as well. A wierdo at a Greyhound kept asking us the same questions again and again. We told him we were from England more than once, neverthelss when I started reading a book he aksed if it was in my language or in English. He also aksed if we have ATM machines in England. Eddie and myself think we could easily write a book based on the crazies we have met in the USA.
