Bonjour!
We are here! Despite a rough beginning (our 5:15 flight didn't leave until 9:45!) our trip was much easier than the three of us expected. Harper had her bassinet, dad had his on demand movies, and I had .... Anxiety! Despite my worries, Harper slept the whole plane ride except for when we had to wake her up to feed her and then she would go right back down. I was able to pump on the plane which checked off another part of my tour "Pumping in planes, trains, and automobiles". From the plane we boarded our three hour train ride from Paris to Nantes. Harper again slept and we were treated to a view of the French countryside as we sped through neighboring villages. The train station is right across the street from our hotel the Kyriad. We think the baby softened the front desk staff because we were "hooked up" with a very large swanky room (not normally our luck in Europe). Despite our fatigue, we plowed through last night and caught a tram to Les Machines de I'lle, a museum very much like our Visonary Arts Museum at home but with all kinds of ridable machines/animals. Wes was first in line to try out the dragon. Some of Wes's collegues rode a squid that squirted us all with steam. Then the giant Elephant came alive (it must have been 4 stories tall) and walked from the museum to the waterfront, pretty cool! Afterwards, we took the tram back to the hotel, picked up dinner to go and then "tried" to sleep. Harper isn't a fan of the Jet Lag!
