Day five and a day off jogging phew! It's getting harder to carry my belly up and down the hills of Sydney. On a serious note today was a day to reflect that it was 1 year ago today that Pete fell ill, we are all so pleased of the recovery you have made so far take care mate.
We set off to see the three sisters in the Blue Mountains. It was a two hour train ride, which was very interesting. You get to see the suburbs and the locals going about their business and how the rather bust hectic Sydney gives way to the more familiar 'Ramsey Street' settings of the suburbs. Once there a 2 mile hike took us to the edge of a wondrous escarpment. The views are ruined by my photography but it is really breathtaking. A recent bush fire meant that some of the walkways were closed but this did not distract from the views.
Anyone reading this may have realised that the 14th was Valentine 's Day, well I thought that the odd round the world trip may have brought me an exemption. Wrong, and how. I got out of the shower in the morning to find a card on my pillow, for which I am truly grateful Wend. However i did not have a card for Wendy. Umm she took it quite well considering so we left for the day putting my little mishap behind us. I'm not kidding; everywhere we went was full of men carrying red roses and women proudly flaunting their acquisitions. I couldn't believe it I thought the Aussie men would have given me support. Not so they seem to have embraced Valentine's Day with some gusto, much to my chagrin. Well I took Wendy to a flash Chinese restaurant (Infantine knows where), and that backfired. It was fully booked, so off into Chinatown where we enjoyed Sydney's finest bar-b-q duck. A splendid end to another full day. We will attempt to have a quiet day Wednesday, need a rest already. I can feel your sympathy guys from here. 'till tomorrow.
