Things have been crazy busy, overwhelming, exciting and above all, exhausting... but very cool. The people here are so kind and nice, I love the staff, the students and looking forward to more experiences.
So, the school is a mess, but we are working hard to get it into shape. The staff are wonderful, and everybody is so supportive and they work so hard. It is nice being in a work environment where people support each other and help each other. However, it would be nice to have a printer, some markers, and a pair of scissors. (no joke)
We are looking for a place to live. We have looked at a couple of apartments that are very nice, but I don't want to jump at the first ones. I just want to unpack and feel settled. It has been difficult to not really feel moved in.
I went to Shanghai for groceries, and it was fun. Very western though. So we went to a water town named Tongli and took a boat ride, and a Chinese opera singer came with us and sang. It was amazing. Some of the buildings were thousands of years old. It is a world heritage site. I will post pictures.
