So we spent our day in Vegas today, we woke up later than normal and at about 10 we were all up and going for the breakfast buffet at the Luxor hotel, it was all you can eat and there was everything from quasonts to a full American breakfast, David even got 3 different types of cake not really what I'd call breakfast but what ever floats your boat I suppose.
After breakfast we went for a walk and visited Excalibur and some of the strip going into m and m world, and coke world too, it was decided to head back to the hotel so Chris could have a nap, and the rest of us could hit the pool, it was pretty nice going into the pool especially when Darren who wasn't wearing his glasses had a bit of a panic when he read the 3½ ft sign as 8 ½ ft- realizing when his feet touched the bottom but me and Bethan had already realized and were laughing at him.
David looked up the shooting place that Chris wanted to go to and it cost $100 and that was a bit too much for all of us to get but him and Chris went and by the sound of it they had a fantastic time, they have the paper targets as a souvenir as well as the shells from the bullets that they used.
Once they returned we decided that we should explore the strip a bit more we went up to Fremont Street the place where Vegas began and also the place of the Heart-attack grill where if you weigh over 350 lbs you eat for free, the burgers and fries are all cooked in lard, the boys originally wanted to eat here but it looked quite seedy and the guy outside kind of freaked everyone out which summed up Fremont Street pretty well to be honest so we went into a casino for a dunkin doughnuts before going down to the more up-market end of the strip walking through Fashion show mall, and Wynn Casino where there were lots of up-market shops. We then went into the Venetian hotel that has gondolas and a cannel running through it on the 1st floor, we were in there about an hour and a half and still didn't find the hotel part of the hotel, and struggled to find the exit. We then saw the pirate ship show at Treasure Island and made our way back to the car to drive down the rest of the strip and go for food.
We headed out of the tourist trap a little by going just off from the main strip stopping for food at Chill's where I pointed out that the food must be good here when asked why I said just look at the size of the waiters it must be good. I have to say it was I had a meal, which was shared with Darren, as I couldn't finish it, as it was so big, Darren also had his own meal too and is defiantly keeping up the reputation of 'the American' or 'The human trash can'
I was really impressed with the meal and it defiantly hit the spot, by the time we got back to the hotel we were all shattered and once Bethan had finished on my laptop we hit the sack!
