Well we have found our paradise! We got the same ferry as the fools who were going to Pulau Tioman but we were dropped off first, only us and another couple got off at Rawa. It was so beautiful all the others on the ferry were picturing the island and we just laughed as we got off!
We stayed at Le Club Rawa which holds a maximum of 45 people at a push! There was another resort for posh people too, but that was it 2 resorts on the whole island!
Le Club had allsorts out to occupy your day; snorkells, fishing rods, games, volleyball, darts etc. We did some fishing off the pier which was really good because I didn´t get seasick! The only disdvantage was that we had no fisherman to discorge the fish- Wayne managed ok though. Wayne caught a Snapper and I caught a reef fish but we put them back. We also went snorkelling and amazingly saw a sting ray just 5 feet out. The water was really clear but we cut it short because of all the jelly fish (supposedly harmless but still)!
We spent most of our time lying on the beach which was fantastic! We also realised that late afternoon the tide went so far out that we could walk out with the water at knee height and explore the coral without the need for a snorkel. We saw lots of reef fish but most importantly we saw Nemo and his friends!
I could stay here for ever it is so tranquil! We strongly recommend people visiting this island and definately stay at Le Club as long as you can cope with cold shower, basic accomodation, no phones, no doctor, no Internet, no shops you will love it!
