L: Finally. A leisure day! After sun burning by the pool (Yes Dave, legs need lotion! ouch!), we decided to head to Hollywood Boulevard. The street itself is somewhat uninspiring, one of those places that looks a lot better at the movie premieres. After a quick stop in the trinket store to buy some quality key rings we walked along the 'walk of fame' and crossed the road to the Chinese Theatre, complete with foot and hand prints of the stars. The place was buzzing with tourists and touts asking us to sign up to one of the Starline tours of celebrity homes. Having done the tour before, Dave and I agree on purchasing the $8 'Movie Star Homes' map, can't be that hard eh? We have 4 wheels and a thirst for celebrity gossip. Upon arriving back at the car, we find that the young lady who we'd had a prior altercation with about the parking space had left us a kind note under the windscreen wiper, I didn't know they used THAT word in the States! A quick jaunt to the Ameoba Music store, rubbing shoulders with the rock cool and 8 discounted CD's later, we were back on the road - listening to Joni Mitchell.
Cameron was now upfront and had been appointed co-pilot and chief map reader. It took us some time to locate Michael Jackson's last residence and death location, the tension slowly rising between driver and map reader became evident. We saw a live arrest of what looked like an unwanted paparazzi and Amber thinks she saw Arron Spelling - Wahoo! A glimpse of the Beckhamshome and some star we'd never heard of and it was time to head to Venice Beach for veggie dinner. Organic, meat free and french fries noticeably absent...followed by a trip to Yoghurtland!
