The night of the rum
We had an early lunch at a local cafe, and then got a few things from the supermarket on the way back. Later we took the shuttle into the city and went to the Museum of Queensland, where we basically acted like children all afternoon, playing the games and testing all the exhibits! There was a serious part though, about aboriginal culture. I didn't realise that Aboriginal people didn't gain total independence until the 1980s, and the Australian government have only just apologised for the way they were treated.
We had planned to go out that night, and sat downstairs with the Irish boys, who we bumped into again, playing some drinking games. This resulted in a lot of rum being drunk, and we actually only made it to the club for half an hour - luckily it was only down the road!
