Back on dry land
The boat left the mooring even earlier today - I woke up but went straight back to sleep as I quite like being rocked in my little bed in the cabin! We laid out on deck for a while, and Shannon, one of the crew, caught a yellow fin tuna. The next port of call was Hayman Island, where we stopped at Blue Pearl Bay. It was a really small cove, but the snorkelling was probably the best so far. There was so many fish that it was overwhelming at times, as they weren't scared at all and swam right up to our masks. We saw huge turquoise fish and whole schools of tropical fish. The tender then came across and took us back to the boat, and we had quiche for lunch. We sailed back to Airlie Beach harbour after that, and sunbathed on deck, although we were interrupted by the crew making us help put the sail up! Once back on dry land we checked into the hostel and then got ready to go out to a bar called Morrocos, where a table had been reserved for the Anaconda III. We had a really good night out with everyone from the boat, apart from witnessing another wet t shirt competition!
