Good evening to you all,
The sun has set on another beautiful day here at the farm. Yesterday was our first proper day of relaxation since starting our holiday in Brazil. It was nice to take a leisurely pace, read in the hammock and then go for a ride around the farm watching the sunset.
This morning we were up at a decent time ready to go and milk and feed the cows. All milking is done by hand here and it was hard work! Still, Sam and I had a good go and were successful but not as fast as the workers!
Once we had done that, Sam and I headed into the big barn to collect the tractor. Up in the rafters of the barn was a gorgeous barn owl! We set off with the tractor and trailer full of cow feed. We had three massive fields to do. Sam and I took it in turns to drive the tractor round the farm and according to the workers we drove really well!
Once the cows bad been fed, Sam and I had the opportunity to sort out the photos on our cameras and upload some to Facebook. We have tons of photos so it was only a small selection, even though we haven't been here a week yet!
After lunch, more hammock time was needed - a bit of a read and snooze meant that we were then ready to do the evening tour of the farm on horseback doing cattle checks.
We've just had another incredible dinner and now chilling in the farm house after a hot shower. Both Sam and I are full of mozzy bites, every time I count how many I've got there seems to be one more appearing! I never get bitten at home so they're clearly desperate out here!
Well that's all for now, tomorrow is our last full day at the farm before we travel back to São Paulo then onto Ilhabela.
