So the Kempinsky (spelt wrong last time) is pretty awesome to stay at...there are infinity pools everywhere and wicked views of the Dead Sea. Even saw the lights of Jerusalem...its only a few clicks away....wild. So the bed was comfy....but ya know what...if the couple next door decides to swing from the Chandlers it doesn't matter how swanky the place is. So we got an early wake up call to the sounds of the wild. We survived....not sure if she did.....So...

So we slept in a bit and our guy picked us up to take us to the Wadi Rum....Wadi means desert....Rum is the name. I was really disappointed once I heard that.....So it was a couple of hours drive south of Wadi Musa or Moussa depending on which sign you read almost ll the way to Aqaba. Neat to see the landscape around here.....we are talking desert. Camels....Bedouin's etc etc.....Not much else. So we got to the tour outfit and they had a Jeep waiting for ...

So from Wadi rum we jumped in the car to head to Al Karak.....it's a Crusader Fortress. A couple of hours drive north towards Amman. So off we went. More desert....camels and zipped in and out of towns and villages. Neat to see the real villages....very different. After a while we turned left and headed back uphill from the desert floor into the mountains. This is where the weather really turned on us. Snow...sleet and rain...kinda miserable. But we persevere...

Today not much planned on our first full day as it is a day to sit around the hotel.....tuff job that is...lazy wake up and we chilled round our pool after breakfast.....then off to the beach. It's an awesome beach, view great....sun great....service great....what else can you say....cept too many lil kiddies running around with sand buckets. The folks do think its cute when they want to dump it on your head though.....heh heh those crazy parents. Still haven...
