The windy roads towards Pai are sickly exciting and quickly forgotten once we reach this beautiful, hippy infested little town. We haven't booked anything but luckily a local handing out flyers takes us to Indiana Cottage. The guesthouse is run by Sarah, a lady-boy from Chiang Mai and her lapdog brother. Sarah is the most generous and entertaining Thai I have met. She cooks for us almost every night, buys beer for everyone staying with her, has a dirty mouth and enjoys making the boys feel awkward. I love her and can't get enough. We have an eventful night out with Sarah and are sad to leave after only 4/5 days but we suddenly realise that our visas are up. I toy with the idea of doing a visa run to Mai Sai, but decide it's too much hassle for just a few more days and travel across to Laos. I will come back here again for sure! I rent a motorbike with Zack and explore the surrounding area and after some build up, I slide down a waterfall into a freezing plunge pool. On the way back, we stop at a play park where some Thai kids are playing on the best swing I've ever seen in my life. We join in and have a whale of a time with 2 petit English girls and a big Australian guy on one bike.
