We decided to take the scenic route into Jackson. This route took us through Big Horn National park which had some beauitful vistas on both sides. This led us into Wind River canyon. Both had granite stacks on either side for the entire length of the canyon. Around 8:15 we pulled over in Boysen State Park to make some burgers for dinner. As we set up our picture perfect coleman advertisement to make dinner the sun was setting over the lake throwing pinkish hues off of the water. This was the first moment of true road trip freedom.
Lesson #6 See a beautiful spot. Stop. Enjoy it.
Although a small moment in the trip. One of my favorites.
We continued to drive into the Gran Teton region where we got stuck behind a very BAD driver from Texas. This person has never driven on a road with turns and hills. After 20 miles of sharp turns and changing road condintions he thankfully and finally turned off. At 12:00AM I pulled over and stepped outside of Subey to enjoy the millions of starts that surrounded us. MB sang me happy birthday in her church voice. So very sweet of her.
We continued on our drive into Jackson and searached for an elustrious KOA campground for the night. After lots of searching we decided to camp at the place we kept passing. Happy Accidents are in our favor, we found the KOA.
