We were advised to check out Fern Canyon while we were in the park and I am glad we did. This is an entire canyon outfitted with foot bridges where the walls are covered with thick ferns from end to end. We then headed about 45 minutes south where we stopped at Elk Praire Redwood Forest to go biking. Along the way we stopped at the big Paul Bunyon and Babe statues and checked out the indian museum.
