The Mariposa Grove contains a section of redwoods and 'the giant grizzley', but after seeing Jeddi Smith we were kind of disappointed. the 'GG' was huge, and we did see the tunnel tree but overall this grove was destroyed by years of excessive foot traffic. The Yosemite valley was about two hours from where we camped which put us in the heart of the valley at about noon. The valley is the land of people.
