Things they should do: Put up some more freaking road-signs gorramit!! Seriously we would like to know whether or not were going in the right direction, before we have gone 50 km out of some weird little road… Not that we are getting lost, just a comfort thing, like never letting the gasoline indicator go below ½ full… But this has absolutely nothing to do with todays blog, not in the slightest!!Anyway, we decided to stay in a campground outside of Wellington, actually Tuz just completely denied to drive Nettie anywhere close to the city centre as it consist mostly of one lane street (hateful little things), so we ended up in a campground in Upper Hutt. Right next to Isengarden as it were (don't worry if you didn't get it, we will be talking about it a lot when we come back, probably so much that you will want to jam a screwdriver into your ears, and then we will talk about it some more just to annoy you… And it will be specified later in this blog as well, so just keep reading.).Because our trusty pilot had laid down work, as a protest against the idiotic thing that is one lane streets, we had to catch the train into Wellington each day. It took about an hour each way, but it was a very nice little break, and probably saved us a ton of parking money. Plus we do love public transportation (except DSB, we not like them nooo), well Trine likes any sort of transportation really, as long as she dosent have to move J ti hi hi.The first day in town, was pretty much spent on looking for the I-site, not an easy thing to find when you have litterally just come in with the train, but after a couple of directions from some nice local people we managed to find it, and then we found a Borders (huge Bookstore), and that was pretty much the end of that day… We managed to only buy 11 books, yay us!! He he… Hi my name is Tuz and im a bookaholic. The next day we went with the Tram up to the botanic gardens… Not that we saw the gardens, why spend so much time stumbling around a collection of shrubberies when you can shop… And then we found a comic store… Hello my name is Trine and im a comicaholic. This was also the day that Tuz attracted her own personal little, very, very desperate and annoyingly persistent guy (nej Carl det her er ikke en af de der, jeg drager mændene situationer). Either that or he was an idiot… No, wait he WAS an idiot. He would just lie in wait for her, and then force her to have long conversations with him, because he did not stop talking when she walked away, and then he started hanging around the kitchen all the time! The kitchen was located right smack beside the ladies room, so it was very hard to avoid the general kitchen area!! And thus began three days of painful bladder-busting and ducking behind garbage cans and other campers… It was horrible, Tuz is surely scarred for life, and so is Nettie, because the dumbass actually shot a golfball at her, to have an excuse to talk to her! Little piss-ant!!! Men are so pathetic!!For our third full day in Wellington, we had booked a full day tour of all the LotR movie locations in the greater Wellington area. It was the best damn tour EVER!!! Our guide was such a nerd, and totally hilarious… We have forgot his name, and therefore decided to doub him Figwit (We will not explain the term Figwit to you, as it would take up to much space, and the author of this blog has been warned by several associations, the hands rights movement among others, not to overwork her poor stubby fingers, but we will recommend you Google or Wiki it and read the highly amusing story!).This tour did not only include a highly informative and amusing tour of the scenes, that culminated in a long photo session underneath the Legolas tree in Rivendell, with you dressed up as an elf… or Spock wielding Sting. But also a comprehensive guide to stalking Peter Jackson. We were driven past his house, and Figwit kindly told us about a public trail that runs past his gardens, a lovely spot for some stalker prey interaction. Then we went to Peter Jacksons favorite coffee shop, where we saw a car matching his, but unfortunately he wasn't there. After this highly informative ground course in stalking, which we are currently planning to put into use once we return to Wellington (Note to Peter Jackson: the names you will be wanting to put on the restraining orders are Susanne Hansen and Catharina Bjørnsholm. Don't worry you will notice us, stealth has never been a talent of ours. We will be the small blond idiots waving and taking pictures while giggling like a pair of Chinese men in the Beijing Metro, and offering you to do absolutely anything, and we do mean ANYTHING, to work on the Hobbit… We would be happy just to run around and collecting sheep droppings on various locations…. Seriously we will even pay!!!… pretty please?), we went to the Weta cave… the place on earth with the COOLest merchandice!!! We wants it, we wants it all!! The tour ended in the park right next to our campground. It turned out that it had been used as the gardens of Isengard. Pretty cool, although it signaled the end of our tour, sigh… but it was a great tour. For our last full day in the windy city, we had planned to go to Te Papa, the national museum, but neither one of us was feeling cultural, so we went to the movies instead. We had planned to go to the Embassy theate, the place where Return of the King premiered, but they only had tree movies on. One we had seen, and the others seemed rather dull, so we went to another cinema instead. It was a nice one and the movie was good, one of those comic books made into movies things. After that we went into the city and spent another couple of hours perusing through the comic store, however we could only find nr. 2 of the series we wanted, curse all other comic book readers for stealing all the nr. 1. Oh and Tuz managed to avoid the annoying guy the rest of the time there, so she was literally a happy camper. The next day, was the much dreaded ferry day!! The day where we had to drive into Wellington and onto the ferry all by our lonesome… It was scarry!! It wasn't really smooth sailing either, we almost went with the wrong ferry. Yes we are sure this information comes as a big shock to all of you… Trine and Tuz going on the wrong ferry/bus/train/ generally just getting themselves lost, what a surprise (no we did not include planes, because we always go with the right one, one tends to double check when ones life is at stake)! However there was a nice old man with a broom who pointed us in the right direction, and we managed to board the ferry without falling in the water or running over one of the people working there, and thus begin our adventure in the south island, also known as the Unknown Territories!!!
