We had a great day today sorting out our things and packing our paniers for our great adventure. There is something very freeing about not having much other than biking gear, a few changes of clothes, toilet bag and of course a girl has to take her hair dryer!!!!! Can't believe it myself that I am taking my hair dryer but yep I am. I cant be a grot after cycling all day I have to have a shower, clean clothes and a fluffy pillow - so I am not that hard out really. This journey across France from The Atlantic to The Med swimming in both oceans is the biggest mental and physical adventure of my life. At the age of 30 I had extreme chronic fatigue syndrome and to be able to embark on this journey is amazing as there was a time in my life when I couldnt even walk to the letterbox. Its going to be a challenge but I would not want for a better companion on this path. Rod and I will acheive this together, our bikes are saddled up and ready to ride and what a ride its going to be 700km across France, oh and not to forget Pascal our happy wine drinking, fromage, crossaint scroffing fury companion to guide us, Im sure he will get us through the tough days we have and we will have stories and memories we can relive for many years to come. So here goes I'm going to do it!!!!!!!
