Hey all, just updating quickly since I may not be able to for a couple days. Instead of going out last night a few of us sat down and hashed out some plans since we'll have alot of free time over the next few days (finally!). Tonight we're planning on going downtown to visit the Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College (and the Book of Kells), and St. Stephens Green. We should be free starting at 1pm today. All we have is a seminar this morning, and no hospital site visits this afternoon. Tomorrow we're planning on taking a trip out to Cork to visit Blarney Castle (Dublin is on the east end of the island, whereas Cork is more southeast to south). We've been price checking on tours, and it'll end up costing $100-150, which isn't bad for a daytrip. We just need to get everyone together and book them. I'm really hoping no one flakes out or at least I'll have one person to go with me... We're not allowed to travel outside the UCD campus on our own, and there's a lot of things I want to see while I'm in Ireland.
I've figured out the coffee now... If I fill my cup with 1/3 coffee, 1/3 hot water, and 1/3 milk with 4 packets of splenda, then it's like the coffee I make back home. lol.
Today is "dress down" day- I can't tell you how ecstatic I am. Finally I can just wear jeans, a t-shirt, socks and my sneakers- and my sweater. I am immensely more comfortable and my feet love me at the moment (they're currently covered in blisters).
