This was another great little beach, set between high rock faces and shaded from the wind, after a dip in the ocean we decided that it would be a perfect day for me to learn on a longboard and we duly hired one for an incredible 7 euros an hour.I managed to stand up 3 times over the hour and I was quite impressed with myself seeing as my last surf attempt was back in Oz last November. Dan had a go as well, putting my efforts to shame but we all have to start somewhere. We´d had enough sun by lunch so moved southwards towards Sagres and the Cabo de San Vicente, via Carrapeteira with the beautiful Bordeira and Amado beaches. We didn´t stay here as it was pretty mobbed and we´d already spent a bit of time at the beach that day.Dav is right though, they are booootiful beaches.
We had planned on staying in Sagres but we weren´t that impressed, sometimes I don´t think we give places enough of a chance, but when you´ve seen better beaches up the road you kind of get fussy. So we started along the southern coast and stopped at a site in Praia da Luz.
