Hello!
We're now on Koh Phangan again. Yes we have been here already but we like it so there.
Khao Sok National Park was fantastic. We stayed in a tiny little village with about 10 buildings about 5 minutes walk to the entrance to the rainforest. Unlike the Jungle trek we did in Chang Mai, where we had a guide and were very much off the beaten track, we went off by ourselves on a much more established track. Its more like a walk in the woods, were it not for the first time we went in (about 2 hours hard walking) we saw a monkey, a large horned lizard, and a 1 and a half metre long snake by the side of the path! Once we got to a little encampment in the middle of the trek, we set off an a much harder and more intense track. It was here we met the leeches. We all got bitten on our ankles and various other body parts without even realizing it. The wounds dont stop bleeding for ages and we didnt realize we had been got until we realized out socks were soaked! Not all that pleasant.
Joe also got food poisoning from the resteraunt attached to the guesthouse and was very very very ill for about 24 hours. The less said about the symptoms the better, but you can always ask him.
Got to Koh Phangan the other day in time for the full moon party. All looking forward to it as its meant to be the biggest one. We've booked passage to Kualalumpur for a few days time, but its a 26 hour journey in total which we arnt looking forward to one bit, but its a lot cheaper than flying!
Anyway, must be off. Catch you all later!!!
The 3 Us's.
