Theres a big area of the wall that was restored in the 1950's, and is packed full of tourists and comercials and apparently has the soul of a wet newpaper. Well, first of all, we are tired. We didnt sleep much on the plane to beijing (10 hours), mainly due to a chinese woman who was being deported back to china and really didnt want to go. Much screaming and shouting and presumably cursing (all in chinese). Got to the airport, our lift wasnt there and the buses wernt running at 5.30am so we had to pay extra for a random taxi. Suprisingly, we are still alive. No seatbelts in back seat, no speedo, no rev count...
