Hi everyone. So here I am in Querétaro, my second day. I got into Mexico City yesterday at about 11am (we're on central time here). Flying in was unreal. You can be told that a city is the biggest in the world and go "ok, its big". But seeing it as you fly over is totaly different. But I'm telling you about it anyways. Once I arrived, I caught a bus to Querétaro on Primera Plus bus lines. Very nice. The biggest seats with built in LEG rests and cup holders. For 22 dollars (220 pesos) you get the three hour bus ride, the best ham & cheese sandwitch in a bag, a drink, wasabi peanuts, and a movie. I slept most of it. So I got into town around 3pm and caught a taxi into the centro historico. The cab driver insisted I repeat a phrase that meant " what beautiful eyes you have" before I told him I was married. He then, with words and hand signals, informed me that it was ok as long as my wife wasn't here because she would cut my penis off. Signals for that last one. So I got a hotel room, wandered around town a bit, bought deodorant at Wolworths Mexicana, and had a ten year old kid order soup and quesadillas for me because I couldn't figure out what the waitress was asking. I felt dumb. I did better at breakfast this morning. Fried steak, beans, and some spicy egg, cheese and mystery ingredient mixture. Now I'm wandering some more and looking for a bar to watch the third place match of the world cup. I should run now but I wanted everyone to know I made it ok and I will talk to everyone soon.
