Hi guys *NB - there are no photos from san fran so have chosen ramdon US ones until we can upload some photos. Well we made it here safe and sound. We were midly alarmed when we realised that we were sitting next to an eight month old baby on the flight but it was soooo good and only cried once - for ten seconds. Amanda learned that all about not being able to sleep on long haul flights - despite the fact that the seat next to us was free (and we claimed it as our own). Issue to date is that my phone does not work - thanks a bunch Vodafone - YOU SUCK. We are going to try to work it out today but until further notice we don\'t have access to a phone. Leave a message on the blog if its super urgent and if it\'s super super urgent then get in contact with Karen or Mandy\'s mum or Amanda\'s mum or sister as they have phone numbers for where we are staying. Well we are off to Alcatraz today on a tour and are then having a look around San Fran city. Where we are staying is about 40 minutes train ride (kinda think Paramatta) - but kelly is lovely and she has the best dog - brody and the nicest cat i have ever met named Sydney. The weather is weird - exactly like Melbourne - hot one minute and then freezing the next. We are heading out to dinner tonight in the \'gay\' part of town and then will probably do a day trip to the country side tomorrow. Off to Canada on Sunday. Will try to do more blogs in San Fran but unsure of what access we have to the internet.
