Right now I'm packing and panicking. Somehow I don't feel so prepared for this trip as I did in my past two trips. For my first solo trip to Paris two years ago, I had several list going and by this time (the night before) I was set and ready to go. This time I feel like I'm just grabbing a suitcase, passport, plane tickets and heading out the door. I don't really know Spanish as well as I'd like just whatever I've picked up from work and reading, which is why I am having this panic attack I think. Surprisingly Spain was chosen last year before I even left for my Asian Adventure. But so many changes in my life this past year has put this trip as a bit of that "carrot in front of the horse to keep the horse going forward". Now I wonder if this carrot will taste as sweet as I've been imagining it to be. We shall see!
I've torn apart pages on various travel guides to assure myself that I can still create somewhat of a plan. Gone online to some travel meeting websites and got a few hints on where to eat in Valencia since Barcelona is such a popular tourist spot I really didn't need to dig deep to find a wealth of information on it!
Well I need to finish packing since I spent this whole morning cooking for Thanksgiving. The turkey turned out well again, nice and moist though I used a ready made brine mix this time. Next blog will be from Barcelona!
