Parts of that John Denver song "Leaving on a Jet Plane" keeps repeating itself over and over in my head. "All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go. . . .But, Im leavin on a jet plane don't know when I'll be back again" These past few weeks have flown by so quickly! Between working, training and trying to prepare myself for this trip...life hasn't slowed down for me.
My bags are packed and still I am way under the limit. It seems to me that whenever I go to Asia, I always carry the limit. If it was just my things it would all fit into one suitcase but I am also bringing things for the people I'll be meeting. Also I'm a bit nervous as this will be my first time in Asia without my parents doing the leading. Now I'll be the more experienced world traveler and not my cousin who is joining me on this tirp. I'm sure once I get on the plane and it takes off that the butterflies in my stomach will fly in formation. But right now all the "worst case scenarios" keep going through my head. I'm trying to cling to the promise in Philippians 4:6 "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God." (Amplified Version)
