Ok so I feel pretty flat - SUCK IT UP! Lets go, get out of here. Looks like the sun is trying to show itself and Emma spied a zoo so off we go.
Checked with reception and found our bus stop. After a quick journey thru some suburbia we arrived at Woodland Park Zoo.

Where are the people? One of the benefits of travelling at this time is no crowds - only locals. So we had a few school groups but hey, whats a zoo experience with kids everywhere!?

A really lovely day with many good photo ops. EB was on navigation duties and we saw much of the place 2 or 3 times I think but after 5-6 hours & seeing all we could made the return to hotel. Weather was coming in - a Seattle trait each afternoon we think.
2 highlights today - TB saw here beloved squirrels again and we need to teach these guys how to deal with Wallabies. Concrete room with dirt & some attempted painting to reflect the outback country - Hmmmm???
OK I get the extremes of weather here, winter would be a b**** for a wallaby but hey, the emus were also outside?
Anyway thats my 2 cents

Bit of a rest and a check of who is online at home for girls to communicate. I check a few emails and push along anything that catches attention (Yes I still do that each day)

The girls keep aiming to swim with the pool downstairs. It is small, heated , heavily chlorinated and well used. We havent made it down there yet

Dinner - we are going out tonight. Found a place of target and went walking. Not too far off Denny Way and I went in to investigate. A bar type feel, dark and eclectic interior but plenty of kids already in the place. I gave it the thumbs up and we found a table really quickly - only to be hustled along. Of course in their backward ways "Sorry sir, you all have to be 21 to sit here"
No other seats for us & Chelsea said to bail = out we go.

Option #2 - some mexican Taco joint. Walk in /out to no avail. No-one super hungry and eventually gave custom to Subway again. (I think they will be our friends this trip)

Took our meal back to the room for in-house dining. Late night by TB and the girls. I am feeling Ok now and looking forward to tomorrow.
