A reasonably late start today - hey it's Sunday.
Grabbed a cab and off to Granville Market. Over the bridge to the other side of town to what turned out to be a lovely market. Some great produce and food places. Miss CB 'had' to have a local ice cream and I found a buffalo pepperoni stick, lovely stuff. Had a good look around before returning on the bus to downtown.
Jumped off the bus down near Stanley Park and went walking. The sun was shining, blue skies and perfect for exploring the park and Harbour front.
Back in '85 I had come to the totem poles on several occasions. Easily found and many photographs taken to commemorate the re-visit.
Stopped on a seat for a sandwich and watch the world go by. Sun is certainly a magnet here - cyclists, walkers and families all making the most of it.
From the totems we wandered around the bay taking in the views. The snow on the mountains is fantastic. Watching the seaplanes was cool and must do that one day.
CB made a quick jump off the sea wall to the little exposed beach. Eagle eyes was finding our favorite washed up glass fragments that we like to collect. We have done this in NZ and other spots in our travels. Grabbed an easy collection in no time.
We strolled back around the bay , past the rowing club for the third time in 24hrs and back to the hotel. It was later in the afternoon and girls were tired and wanted a rest.
It is really nice having the comforts of home here but is making it a bit too comfortable!
Dinner, clean up and tv for some of the HGTV reno shows. Girls waiting for ADL time to reach friends etc.
Our 10th floor view is proving a good thing and the accessible balcony is great for fresh morning air into the apartment.
A fairly casual day, some good walking miles covered and experiencing Vancouver in clear sunny blue was brilliant.
I had a great day - love this city.
