Day four 100 miles:
This morning we set off from Brixton. Some lovely neighbours from Southampton offered tea before leaving. They recommended that we visit Wembury beach. I headed there to start with but then missed the turn. So We went to Plymouth for breakfast. From there Sheila went on a ferry for the first time. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we arrived in Cornwall.
We passed Torpoint. Went to Beer but got hassled about parking so we ended up just driving through. Next we went to Crafthole- that just had to be done. From there we went through Portwrinkle. Next was Polperro where we bought an in car phone charger thinking problem solved only to discover that Sheila's cigarette lighter does not work. So we continued our journey throug Lostwithiel. I couldn't find Withiel either so Withiel remains lost. From there we rode to Truro through St Austell. By now my phone had truly died so we stopped in Truro to find somewhere to charge my phone. Whetherspoons came to the rescue. However, it takes rather a kind time to charge up. So while waiting I tried to find a B&B but by 8pm had to accept that we needed to find a campsite most urgently so that we could pitch in semi-darkness as opposed to pure darkness. Well we ended up in the most posh place with our wee tent.... Pitched up just before it was too dark to see anything. Sheila did help with her light in the boot. Then we just had time for a shower and off to bed ready for our adventure tomorrow wondering where we would go and who we would meet.
