A sleep in and a late breaky was good for the soul. It had rained overnight but by 9.30am it had cleared so we caught a taxi to the mud baths hot springs(after arranging late checkout).
First stop was all 7 of us in a mud bath together - very funny and Poppy could not stop floating. Next it was a wash off then into the hot mineral springs for 45 mins to close your eyes and relax. They added some big bags of minerals into the baths too. Grandy and Poppy in theirs , boys in another and Wayne and Rob in another one. Once dried off we each had a wonderful foot massage which included arms, neck and head. The boys also had some time in the pool however we then had to head back to our hotel to be picked up at 2pm. Great way to spend the morning. Unfortunately Kobe left his iPod touch in the taxi and it is gone. Who takes an iPod to mud baths anyway? A lesson learned for him.
Headed off to Quy Nhon in a mini van(this was the alternate arrangement Buffalo Tours made after not being able to get our train tickets).
Great way to see the country as the road follows the coast most of the way- however 2 lanes makes progress a little slow so a 250km journey took almost 5 1/2 hours. The last 1 1/2 in the dark so that made for some interesting driving as they still drive the same crazy they do when it is light!!
The hotel Buffalo Tours booked for us ( part of the compensation) was fantastic. Right on the beach - Seagull Hotel- great modern rooms with balconies overlooking the beach. Ate at one of the hotels restaurants as it was now getting late. Beautiful meal - each of us ordered differently and really enjoyed it. Sleep by 10 listening to the sounds of waves lapping on the shore!
